Easter Monday

On Easter Monday we visited the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. A kind of Zoo
with several kind of see mammals: Dolphins, Walruses, Seals, Browfish
and more.
Most of the animals are trained so they can show their virtuosity in
water, their intelligence and you can see that they like it as well.
The trainers show the specific features of each species, how they are
adapted to their natural circumstances, and how they are trained so that
the caretakers can check their health.
The Dolfinarium also has a kind of hospital for sick or stranded
animals which are found at the see shore. They take care for them until
they are fit to go back to their natural environment.
We enjoyed the day, although it was a bit cold. But the sun makes
everything pleasant!!

Good Friday

This year, Easter is special!
The most special on it is that the Orthodox Easter and the "Western"
Christian Easter are in the same weekend. That doesn't happen so often
(as far as I know!!)
So during this Easter all Christians will be united in their
celebrations!!
It is always a very special celebration, for the Orthodox Church even
more than for the Western Churches, but in my opinion that is changing
as well. More attention is paid to it.
This is also a celebration with is typically connected to the season of
the year.
The time that nature starts showing his willingness to show life!!!
Life is bursting out everywhere, as well in plants and trees, as for
animal life as well.
Therefore this time of the year gives good energetic feelings to
everybody, no matter whether they believe in God or not.
For me Easter is also a revival of Life, and special the Victory of
Christ!
